WINDOWS
When leaving the cottage even for a short period of time, please close the windows. Sudden rain storms often come with little
or not warning. CLEANING
It is imperative that you leave the cottage clean for the next people. At the rates I have offered, it is impossible
to hire a cleaning crew. All cleaning materials (including bucket, mop, etc.) are provided. A cleaning service can be
arranged for a separate fee (arrangements must be made previous to arrival at the beach house).
REFRIGERATOR
Please leave refrigerator and freezer settings at mid-range. When you first arrive at the cottage and you put warm foods
in the refrigerator, please allow time for the refrigerator to cool the foods before calling for maintenance. Warm foods
take a long time to cool.
PETS
Absolutely NO PETS are allowed under any circumstances. Violation of this rule will result in forfeiture of the initial
deposit and will be grounds for immediate eviction.
OUTDOOR GRILLING
The grill is chained to the upstairs deck. Please be careful when grilling.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen area. Please make sure everyone is aware of the location.
TELEPHONE
There is a telephone at the cottage. The number is (252) 441-6621. The phone has a
call block for making long distance calls. All long distance calls must be made with a calling card or charged to another
number.
TRASH PICKUP
Trash pickup is on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please make sure the dumpster is wheeled to the roadway and returned under the
house after it is emptied.
MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS
If you should have any major problems with the cottage appliances, furnishings, etc., please call and report them to Kim
Piddington at 441-4071. He can be reached at work on the non-emergency number at the Collington Fire House at 441-6234
(from 8 AM to 5 PM daily). Please inform me of any problems upon your return.
